This Mindfulness Awareness Practices (Maps) course is an excellent introduction to mindfulness for beginners. MAPs I provides insight into the basics of mindfulness, how to develop a mindful meditation practice, and how mindfulness can be applied in daily life. It is also appropriate for experienced practitioners who wish to revitalize their practice.
MAPs I for Daily Living is an informative training opportunity for clinicians, who are welcome to take it for 12 CEU’s, available for Social Workers and Counselors through the New Mexico Counseling RLD.
Each class is a combination of lecture, practice, and group feedback and discussion. MAPs classes are taught in a context of a supportive community environment. The course program is 6-weeks long and meets once per week for 2 hours.
